Welcome to Our Lady of the Mountains Rosary Guild!
Need-to-Know FAQ for New Members
Our mission is to make and distribute durable, knotted-cord mission rosaries to place into the hands of those longing for prayer, peace, and hope—both locally and around the world. We focus particularly on fallen-away Catholics, converts, and newcomers to the Catholic faith.
At Monthly Meetings: You can request supplies by email, then pick up supplies and drop off finished rosaries at our regular monthly Guild gatherings.
Special Requests: Need specific components? Contact our Buyer/Distributor to request supplies sourced from Our Lady’s Rosary Makers.
No Out-of-Pocket Expense*: You do not need to buy your own mission rosary materials; however all members are asked to contribute a small amount of money monthly to cover rosary supplies and shipping expenses. *For beginners, it is helpful to purchase a cord rosary beginner's kit from Our Lady's Rosary Makers, but there is no obligation for you to do so. We try to have extra beginner materials on hand, but they tend to run out quickly. Most new cord rosary makers do not start out by using centerpieces, so don't be concerned that those do not come in your kit. See the instructional video for more information.
No Quotas: There are no individual production goals or deadlines. You contribute according to your own time, capacity, and talents.
Voluntary Stewardship: We operate on voluntary monthly contributions from members to collectively cover the costs of rosary parts and shipping.
No. While meetings offer great fellowship, hands-on assembly, and opportunities to conduct guild business, attendance is flexible. If you cannot attend, you are welcome to coordinate a supply drop-off and pick-up independently. Those only attending the Crafter's Workshop at the Cathedral School may arrange pick up and drop off at those meetings by contacting Robin Lawson.
Globally: Through Guild-managed shipments sent to priests, religious, and missionaries serving worldwide.
Locally: Members are encouraged to personally hand out rosaries locally wherever they identify a need in the community.
Select members may create commissioned, commercial-grade rosaries for individuals seeking unique, heirloom pieces. However:
Never use mission rosary parts for commercial or commissioned rosaries.
Selling any mission parts purchased from Our Lady’s Rosary Makers is strictly prohibited.
